November 2009 – Passive House Design
Our Director Gary Morris is in Glasgow at the University of Strathclyde. Gary is attending the first ever course for the “Certified European Passive House Designer” (CEPHD) to be delivered in English. The course tutors included some of the leading lights of the Passive House Institute from Darmstadt, Germany. With attendees from Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland, England, Germany, France, United States and Latvia.

October 2009 – Education projects
DCS+P were instrumental in assisting two local primary schools – Screen and The Faythe - receive funding grants of €1,000,000 and €1,500,000 respectively. We and the boards of management are delighted with the confirmation of the funding. As these two schools will now be transformed from their run-down decrepit condition to state of art buildings – improving the facilities for teachers and students and bringing the buildings into the 21st Century

August 2009 – New appointments

Going against the recession! We are delighted to announce that both Mary Duggan MRIAI and Martin Fitzgerald FRIAI have joined our practice. Both are now directors and are actively involved with the day to day running of the firm. Mary brings to the firm, her extensive experience of commercial and in particular education projects. While Martin brings specialist skills and enormous experience in Conservation Architecture. Both are very welcome additions.
